Vung Ang - Bung Expressway bans trucks over 10 tons

TRẦN TUẤN |

Ha Tinh - The Vung Ang - Bung Expressway has just officially opened to traffic on August 28. It is banning trucks over 10 tons.

On the morning of August 29, a leader of the Vung Ang - Bung Expressway Project Management Board (Project Management Board 6 - Ministry of Construction) said that the Vung Ang - Bung Expressway is currently banning trucks over 10 tons from circulating.

At both ends of the route, the unit has issued warning signs for drivers to grasp and not drive trucks over 10 tons entering the Vung Ang - Bung Expressway.

The reason for banning trucks over 10 tons is that this expressway has just been completed and is being temporarily put into operation, while the route's terrain conditions are difficult and complicated. Letting heavy trucks travel on the route can lead to traffic insecurity.

Also according to the leader of the Vung Ang - Bung Expressway Project Management Board, the ban on trucks over 10 tons may last about 1 month. After that, the board will coordinate with relevant units to inspect and evaluate before allowing all types of vehicles to circulate.

The Vung Ang - Bung expressway has been under construction since January 2023, completed and officially opened to traffic on August 28. This is a component project of the expressway with a length of 55.34 km, passing through Ha Tinh province (12.9 km) and Quang Tri (42.44 km).
