On the afternoon of July 22, information from the Steering Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention, Search and Rescue and Civil Defense of Thanh Hoa province said that as of 4:00 p.m. the same day, localities in the province had proactively evacuated 342 households with 1,578 people from dangerous areas, ensuring safety against the impact of storm No. 3.

Prolonged heavy rain caused 7 houses to have their roofs blown off and damaged; 2,075 hectares of rice and 136.55 hectares of crops such as corn, cassava, peanuts, vegetables... were flooded and had their theaters collapsed. In addition, 20 urban trees were broken, 2 cows, 5 pigs and more than 3,000 poultry were swept away.
Regarding traffic infrastructure, many national highways such as National Highway 15C and National Highway 16 have landslides, subsidence cracks, siltation, and broken retaining walls with a total estimated volume of landslides of about 20,270m3. In particular, the landslide at Km77+700/QL15C caused local traffic congestion.
Before, during and after the storm, communes and wards in the province have mobilized maximum forces and vehicles according to the "4 on-site" motto, put up warning signs and strictly control travel to dangerous areas.
By 5:00 p.m. the same day, localities were ready with forces and means for natural disaster prevention, search and rescue, and support for people to overcome the consequences, leaving no one hungry or cold during and after the storm. No human casualties have been recorded.
