Also participating in the working delegation were Mr. Nguyen Hoang Hiep - Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Environment, representatives of central ministries and branches, and leaders of the Provincial Party Committee and People's Committee of Thanh Hoa province.

In the locality, Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha and the delegation inspected the site of the Chu River dike anti-erosion project through Thieu Hoa commune; the Quanh culvert on the Chu River dike in Ngoc Quang village, Tho Lap commune and the Cua Dat irrigation system.
After listening to a quick report from localities and functional units on the response to storm No. 3, the Deputy Prime Minister acknowledged the proactiveness and flexibility of Party committees and authorities at all levels in implementing disaster prevention plans.
At destinations, the Deputy Prime Minister requested localities to absolutely not be subjective, strictly maintain the regular regime, and fully prepare plans to be ready to respond to possible emergency situations. Ensuring communication and coordination between forces also needs to be implemented synchronously and effectively.
In particular, Thanh Hoa province needs to urgently review key areas, vulnerable to floods, specifically identify vulnerable points such as dams and dykes, thereby developing specific plans and mobilizing forces to handle incidents in a timely manner.

The Deputy Prime Minister also requested that after the storm, localities must proactively deploy flood control and drainage work for urban areas, residential areas and agricultural production areas - especially low-lying areas, prone to prolonged flooding.
Particularly for the Cua Dat irrigation system - one of the important irrigation projects of Thanh Hoa - the Deputy Prime Minister requested the management unit to develop full scenarios for reservoir operation, prepare spare materials, machinery and equipment and assign 24/7 duty. At the same time, carefully inspect the current status of the project, strictly follow the inter-reservoir operation process on the Ma River basin to promptly respond to heavy rain caused by storm No. 3.
The Deputy Prime Minister emphasized: Proactiveness, readiness and effective coordination between forces are key factors to minimize damage to people and property when natural disasters occur.
