Accordingly, in recent days, Party committees at all levels, authorities, departments, branches, local agencies, the army and people of the city have focused on and closely directed the work of preventing and fighting storm No. 3 (Wipha). According to initial reports from localities and units, there were no human casualties in the city and basically no major damage to people and businesses' property caused by the storm.
However, due to the impact of rain and high tides, local flooding and landslides have occurred in some places. Implementing Official Dispatch No. 16188-CV/VPTW, dated July 22, 2025 of the Central Party Office announcing the direction of the Secretariat on responding to storm No. 3 (Wipha), the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee requested the City People's Committee to continue to closely monitor the developments of rain and floods after the storm; proactively handle arising situations, avoid being passive or surprised. Localities urgently count the damage, direct the recovery of consequences after the storm, ensure quick stabilization of people's lives and production and business activities. The City People's Committee Party Committee reports to the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee (through the City Party Committee Office) before 2:00 p.m. every day on the damage situation and recovery progress.
Party committees of communes, wards and special zones regularly review and inspect vulnerable dyke areas at risk of landslides or flooding. Along with that, promptly evacuate people and property to safe places, handle incidents according to the "4 on-site" motto; proactively coordinate with authorities and people in handling and preventing.
