On February 4, the Office of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee issued an official dispatch conveying the direction of the Standing Committee of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee regarding the renovation of some roads, traffic junctions and public works in the city.
Accordingly, in the past time, implementing the policy of the Standing Committee of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee on investing in upgrading and completing urban infrastructure, the city has implemented many renovation items, including taking advantage of vacant land to make temporary parks and flower gardens.
This approach aims to create urban aesthetics, supplement public living space for people, and at the same time avoid wasting land resources.
Some projects have been and are being urgently completed, expected to be put into service for people during the Binh Ngo Lunar New Year 2026, contributing to building Ho Chi Minh City to become increasingly civilized, modern and rich in identity.
The Standing Committee of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee assessed this as a policy of practical significance, receiving great consensus and support from the people, as well as the active, responsible and urgent companionship of the business community and sponsors. The City Party Committee acknowledged and highly appreciated the contributions and proactive preparation for implementation of relevant agencies.
However, during the implementation process, some projects such as landscape embellishment in the area in front of Ben Thanh market and Turtle Lake have recorded many feedbacks from people and public opinion.
In order for people to fully grasp information and create consensus on Ho Chi Minh City's policy as well as the participation of businesses, the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee requests the Party Committee of Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee to lead the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee to direct departments and branches to closely coordinate, carefully review the process, legal procedures, design and construction plans for embellishment projects that have been, are being and will be implemented.
The Standing Committee of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee noted that it is absolutely necessary not to allow inconsistencies between departments and sectors in the implementation process; at the same time, requesting timely reporting and advising competent authorities on solutions to arising problems (if any).
In addition, relevant units need to strengthen field inspections, exchange with sponsoring units to unify design plans and organize appropriate construction; proactively receive comments from experts and experts throughout the design, construction, exploitation and use of the project.

On the same day, February 4th, the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee also issued a document on renovating some public works such as Ben Thanh market area and Turtle Lake.
The Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee assessed that the projects were implemented in accordance with the policy of the city leaders, contributing to creating a spacious and fresh landscape for the central area, forming attractions and community activities, and receiving the attention of the people.
Relevant departments and sectors basically implement the correct procedures and regulations, ensuring the principles of relic preservation, in harmony with the overall urban architecture and landscape.
However, the implementation process still has some contents that have not been synchronously coordinated between departments and branches; the reporting and advising of the City People's Committee to handle arising issues is not timely. The Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee said that it has recorded feedback from people and public opinion.
The Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee assigned the Department of Construction to preside over and coordinate with the Department of Planning and Architecture, the Department of Culture and Sports and related units to continue to carefully review the process and legal procedures for projects that have been, are being and will be renovated; strengthen field inspection, unify renovation plans with construction progress, ensuring service for people during the Binh Ngo Lunar New Year.
The units also proactively receive expert feedback, strengthen information and propaganda, promptly handle people's opinions and summarize reports to the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee before February 10.
