Joining hands with the people to overcome difficulties
In early December, Khanh Hoa Provincial Police simultaneously started construction of 23 houses for people whose houses collapsed or were swept away. All houses are committed to being completed and handed over before December 31, 2025 so that people can celebrate Tet in their new houses.
As in the case of Ms. Nguyen Thi My Chau, Khanh Son commune, after the flood, there was only a pile of rubble. With 100% construction funding supported by the Provincial Police, her new house is designed with a level 4 roof, with a living room and 2 sturdy bedrooms. "I just hope the house will be completed before Tet so that the children have a place to study, and the whole family has a place to gather after the disaster," Ms. Chau said emotionally.
Not only in Tay Khanh Son or Dien Dien, in Cam Hiep, Hoa Thang, Khanh Vinh, Dien Lac..., the image of police officers and soldiers with the people urgently leveling the ground and building the house frame takes place from morning to night.
Major General Nguyen Huu Phuoc - Director of Khanh Hoa Provincial Police - said that during the flood, the entire force was mobilized to rescue and immediately started supporting the reconstruction of the house. The house donation shows gratitude and sharing with people affected by natural disasters, while contributing to the effective implementation of the Quang Trung Campaign launched by the Prime Minister, helping people in flooded areas to soon stabilize their lives.
For the police force, building houses for the people is not only a task of support but also a sentiment and responsibility "when the people need it, when the people are in difficulty, there is a police".
Rebuilding confidence after loss
In parallel with the police force, officers and soldiers of the Provincial Military Command, Naval Region 4 and the 5th Special Forces Brigade are also present in many localities to build a total of 70 houses for the people.
In Do Vinh ward, Ms. Le Thi Duoc, seeing the new house gradually taking shape, emotionally shared: "It is not just about rebuilding a roof, but rebuilding trust after loss". In quiet but meaningful actions, the affection between the army and the people became more closely connected, becoming a solid support for the people.
Colonel Nguyen Tuy - Commander of the Khanh Hoa Provincial Military Command said that as soon as the water receded, the Provincial Military Command deployed forces to the heavily damaged areas such as Dien Khanh, Dien Dien Dien, Khanh Vinh, Khanh Son and some riverside areas in Tay Nha Trang and Bac Nha Trang wards. Implementing the Quang Trung Campaign, units urgently level the ground, transport materials, dig foundations, build walls...
Up to now, the military has started construction of 49 houses and continues to coordinate with the locality to deploy the remaining houses according to the targets assigned by the Military Region. In particular, officers and soldiers of Naval Region 4 and the 5th Special Forces Group mobilized many working groups to support day and night, taking on difficult tasks such as pouring foundations, erecting pillars, and reinforcing weak soil.
Colonel Cao Van Muoi, Deputy Chief of Staff of Military Region 5, affirmed that although the weather in recent days has continued to be unfavorable, with a sense of responsibility, the forces have proactively overcome difficulties and ensured construction progress.
At the construction sites, Colonel Cao Van Muoi also directly encouraged the soldiers, acknowledged the spirit of overcoming difficulties and requested the entire force to continue to ensure safety, striving to complete the house before Tet so that people can soon stabilize their lives.
