On April 10, the Department of Home Affairs of Son La province coordinated with the government of Jeonju city, Jeollabuk province, South Korea to organize a signing ceremony for a cooperation agreement to send Son La province workers to work seasonally in the agricultural sector.
Mr. Nguyen Minh Tien, Vice Chairman of Son La Provincial People's Committee, emphasized that the signing is a step to concretize the policy of strengthening labor cooperation between Vietnam and Korea, while opening up job opportunities and increasing income for local workers.

With more than 800,000 workers of working age, with agricultural production experience and rapid adaptability, Son La is assessed to have many advantages in participating in seasonal labor programs.
In the coming time, the province will focus on propaganda, public selection, and at the same time organize skills training, orientation education and improve discipline awareness for workers before leaving the country.
Mr. Kang Se Kwon - Director of Jeonju City Agricultural Technical Center - highly appreciated the labor force of Son La province, saying that the demand for seasonal agricultural human resources in the locality is increasing, especially in the peak season. The Jeonju government is committed to close coordination in receiving, managing, ensuring working conditions and legitimate rights for Vietnamese workers.
The signing of this agreement will create a basis for the two sides to implement specific cooperation contents, contributing to promoting socio-economic development and strengthening cooperative relations between Son La and Jeonju in the coming time.
