According to the Department of Dyke Management and Natural Disaster Prevention and Control (Ministry of Agriculture and Environment), from 7:00 p.m. on November 17 to 6:00 a.m. on November 18, provinces and cities from Hue to Gia Lai will have rain from 80-120mm, locally over 150mm, some stations will have heavier rainfall such as: Tra Leng (Da Nang) 260mm; Phuoc Chanh (Da Nang) 186mm; Tra Thanh (Quang Ngai) 256mm; Phu Loc (Hue) 183mm; Canh Lien (Gia Lai) 140mm.
It is forecasted that from early morning until the end of November 18, the area from Hue City to Da Nang City, the east of Quang Ngai to Dak Lak provinces will have rain from 150-300mm, locally over 500mm; the area from South Quang Tri to Khanh Hoa will have rain from 100-200mm, locally over 350mm; the area from Ha Tinh to North Quang Tri will have rain from 50-100mm, locally over 200mm.
Regarding the flood situation, it is forecasted that in the next 06-12 hours, floods on the Bo River, Vu Gia - Thu Bon River will continue to remain high and below alert level 3 (BD3) to above level 3; on the Huong River, Kon River will fluctuate above level 2; the downstream of the Ba River will rise and stay above level 2.
Regarding the flooding situation:
In Quang Tri: 1,552 houses/4,975 people were flooded, currently 395 households/1,484 people have been evacuated to safe places; 3 schools (Nam Hai Lang commune, Ba Long commune) have allowed students to stay home from school from November 17, 2025.
In Hue: 12,207 houses were flooded (concentrated in the communes of Quang Dien, Huong An, Huong Tra, Phong Dien, Phong Dinh, Hoa Chau); 242 households/663 people (communes: A Luoi, Phong Dien, Phong Dinh, Kim Tra) were evacuated 1-2m deep to safety.
Dak Lak: 36 households/119 people (Duc Binh commune) were evacuated from deeply flooded areas to safe places.
- Da Nang: 22 households (Dac Pring commune) have been evacuated to safety
- Khanh Hoa: 1,107 households/3,648 people (Phuoc Hau, Thuan Nam, Ninh Phuoc, Phan Rang, Dong Hai, Bao An, Cam Lam, Tay Ninh Hoa, Khanh Vinh, Cam An communes, ...) were evacuated from deeply flooded areas to safe places.
Regarding damage:
- Regarding people: 14 dead and missing (an increase of 02 people compared to the report at 6:00 p.m. on November 17).
In which Khanh Hoa: 9 dead, missing, of which 6 died due to heavy rain causing a landslide on a passenger car at Khanh Le Pass National Highway 27C at 22:00 on November 8; 1 dead, 1 missing due to heavy rain causing a landslide on a mountain slope into a camp at Khanh Son Pass at 20:30 on November 8; 1 missing due to floodwaters in Bac Nha Trang Ward on November1;
Da Nang: 3 people missing in Hung Son commune due to landslides in the rice field on November 14.
Quang Tri: 1 person missing due to flood when truck drivers passed through an area with a warning barrier at the A Rong Tren spillway, La Lay commune) and 19 injured people (Khanh Hoa); Hue: 01 person missing due to flood when a boat capsized on the evening of November 17.
- Regarding housing: 3 houses were damaged
- Regarding agriculture: 7,000 hectares of damaged rice (Khanh Hoa); 430 hectares of damaged perennial trees (Khanh Hoa).
