On the evening of October 29, floodwaters in the old Cam Kim commune (now in Hoi An ward) continued to rise. Many areas have been flooded 2-4m deep and have been isolated for more than 3 days, people are in great need of support with medicine and necessities.
To reach households in flooded areas, the Navy had to cross the Thu Bon River in the conditions of high flood water and strong currents, causing many difficulties for relief work.

In the face of increasingly complicated floods, the Naval Region 3 Command has continued to increase forces and means to coordinate with armed units and local authorities to transport food, food, drinking water, and medicine to isolated locations.
The unit affirmed its determination to work all night, absolutely not letting people in flooded areas go hungry or cold.

Informing Lao Dong on the evening of October 29, Mr. Le Dinh Chien - a specialist of Hoi An Ward People's Committee - said that the area of the old Cam Kim commune was most heavily flooded. In recent days, the ward and the authorities have transported many tons of goods, medicine, and drinking water to support.
The floodwaters were cut off, so the unit had to transport goods from the Ward People's Committee via 28/3 Street, using boats to transport goods through heavily flooded areas.

Also on the morning of October 29, the Naval Region 3 Command deployed forces and vehicles to affected localities to support, rescue and help people.
The Naval Region 3 Command has directed its affiliated units to proactively and drastically implement plans, arrange forces, vehicles, and equipment to prevent and effectively respond to heavy rain, landslides, and flash floods in the area.

The area mobilized more than 100 officers and soldiers, along with 3 boats and 8 cars of all kinds, to quickly move to heavily flooded locations including: Phong Dien Ward (Hue City); communes and wards: Ha Nha, Hoa Tien, Hoi An, Dien Ban (Da Nang City) to rescue and help people.

In the coming days, officers and soldiers of Naval Region 3 will coordinate with Party committees, authorities, unions, and functional forces of localities to set up warning signs at landslides and deep flooding areas.
At the same time, provide necessities including instant noodles, dry food, canned meat drink, military medicine and some other essential household items; Propagate and mobilize people not to pass through dangerous areas; Support the evacuation of households from dangerous deeply flooded areas.
