Body found in Hue is missing person at sea in Quang Tri

Quang Tri - A fisherman fell off a fishing boat while fishing in Quang Tri waters, went missing, and 10 days later his body washed ashore in Hue.

On January 11, the People's Committee of Hai An commune (Hai Lang district, Quang Tri province) confirmed that they had found the body of fisherman N.V.T (born in 1977, residing in Dong Tan An village, Hai An commune).

The body of a fisherman drifted ashore in An Duong 2 village (Phu Thuan commune, Phu Vang district) and was discovered by locals at 5am on January 11.

Upon receiving the information, the family of fisherman N.V.T. came in to confirm and are completing procedures to bring the victim home for burial.

Previously, at around 6am on January 1, 3 fishermen from Dong Tan An village went fishing on a boat in the waters of Quang Tri. While anchoring about 4km from shore, fisherman N.V.T got his leg entangled in the anchor rope, fell into the sea and went missing.

Local authorities, agencies and people in Quang Tri province have launched a search for the missing fishermen, but have encountered many difficulties and have had no results.
