    The Ministry of Public Security said that in October 2024, there were 282 fires nationwide, killing 4 people, injuring 8 people, and causing preliminary property damage estimated at 150.72 billion VND.

    The Ministry of Public Security has just announced preliminary data on traffic accidents, fires, explosions and administrative handling of traffic order and safety in October 2024 (from September 15, 2024 to October 14, 2024).

    According to the report, there were 1,869 traffic accidents nationwide, killing 944 people and injuring 1,299 people. Compared to September 2024, there were 108 more accidents; 31 more deaths; and 61 more injuries.

    Regarding administrative handling of traffic order and safety, nationwide, there were 382,958 cases of traffic order and safety violations handled; 660.71 billion VND in fines; 134,777 cars, motorbikes, and scooters were temporarily detained. Compared to September 2024, there was an increase of 21,804 cases, the amount of fines collected increased by 18 billion VND, and an increase of 13,504 cars, motorbikes, and scooters were temporarily detained.

    Also during the same period, the Ministry of Public Security also said that 282 fires occurred nationwide, killing 4 people, injuring 8 people, and causing preliminary property damage estimated at 150.72 billion VND.

    Compared to September 2024, there were 53 fewer fires, 2 more injuries, and preliminary estimated property damage increased by 89 billion VND.

    There were no explosions this month.
