On November 11, after 4 days of landslides caused by storm No. 13, the railway industry officially restored the North - South route, the section passing through Xuan Lanh commune (Dak Lak province).
The temporary bridge was completed by hundreds of workers from three railway companies Phu Khanh, Thuan Hai and Nghia Binh in coordination with the construction of the bridge, ensuring technical specifications for the night.
The temporary bridge is built with two abutments, two pillars and three steel girder spans, ensuring that ships can travel through the landslide area at a limited speed of about 5km/h. Passenger and cargo transportation activities have been officially restored.

According to Mr. Nguyen Quoc Vuong - Deputy General Director of Vietnam Railways Corporation, workers have completed phase 1 to restore the railway section that was eroded by storm No. 13. Phase 2 will continue with the construction of fixed works and permanent reinforcement of the roadbed to ensure long-term safety for the route.
Previously, storm No. 13 caused heavy rain and strong winds in the provinces from Quang Ngai to Dak Lak, causing damage to many sections of the North-South railway, disrupting train operations. Of which, the area of Km1136+850 in the Phuoc Lanh - Van Canh section (Xuan Lanh commune, Dak Lak province) suffered the most serious landslides with a length of about 90 meters, with a depth of up to 9 meters in some places.
In that situation, the authorities and construction contractors have focused on fixing the problem with the goal of opening the route as soon as possible.
Nearly 300 workers are divided into many construction teams, working in three shifts and four teams, working day and night with high determination, aiming to open the route as soon as possible.
