From 9 am on May 28, the 22km long expressway section from National Highway 1 intersection to National Highway 26 intersection of the Khanh Hoa - Buon Ma Thuot expressway project was officially put into operation after being assessed as meeting acceptance conditions.
According to the Khanh Hoa Agricultural and Transport Construction Investment Project Management Board, the section passing through Ninh Hoa ward and Hoa Tri, Tan Dinh and Tay Ninh Hoa communes has been assessed by specialized agencies as meeting the conditions for acceptance on May 23.
Putting the route into operation aims to promote the efficiency of investment capital, meet the travel needs of people, and at the same time contribute to promoting socio-economic development in the locality.
For the remaining about 10km of component project 1, contractors are focusing on accelerating construction progress to soon complete and put into use in the near future.
The Khanh Hoa - Buon Ma Thuot expressway project has a total length of 117.5km, connecting Khanh Hoa with Dak Lak, with a total investment of about 22,000 billion VND and is divided into 3 component projects.
In which, component project 1 is 31.5km long, starting point at the intersection between National Highway 26B and National Highway 1 in Ninh Hoa ward, ending point in Tay Ninh Hoa commune, expected to complete the entire route by the end of 2026.
When completed, the expressway will shorten the distance from Khanh Hoa to Dak Lak from nearly 200km to about 117km, strengthen traffic connectivity between the South Central Coast and the Central Highlands, creating motivation for socio-economic development for the region.
