Preserving a hundred-year-old ancient villa at a Dong Nai riverside road project
According to the initial plan, to serve the construction of the Dong Nai riverside road, Vo Ha Thanh ancient villa will be cleared to about half of the project. However, many experts and scientists suggest that it is necessary to adjust the plan to keep this project in order to preserve and promote cultural, historical and architectural values.
The Dong Nai riverside road project was later adjusted to implement the plan to "modify" the road section passing through the Vo Ha Thanh ancient villa area for conservation purposes.

This hundred-year-old building is called Ong Phu Pavilion by locals, facing the Dong Nai River. According to documents, the villa was built in 1922, completed in 1924. In 1996, this place was chosen as the main setting for filming the movie "The Beauty of Tay Do".
Mr. Nguyen Dinh Long - Director of Van Nga Phat Co., Ltd., a member of the project construction consortium - said: After having the decision to adjust the project, the contractor mobilized manpower and equipment to accelerate the construction progress to adjust the section of the route passing through the Vo Ha Thanh ancient villa area to preserve this project.
