Of which, the province plans to spend nearly 779.5 billion VND to invest in the project to expand Ba Ria General Hospital on a land area of 18,421m2, with many items such as: a 300-bed inpatient treatment area; medical equipment system, offices...; and auxiliary works.

The expansion of hospitals aims to improve the quality of health services, ensure standards for the number of hospital beds and 10 doctors per 10,000 people, avoid the situation where hospitals are operating at an overload capacity compared to the current scale, while creating favorable conditions for access to modern and specialized health services right in the locality.
After implementing the projects, it will help complete and modernize the health system in the area; meet and improve requirements, create the best conditions for medical examination and treatment for people; reduce pressure on upper-level hospitals.
