Hanoi - The biggest obstacle in site clearance for the C6 underground station project of the Nam Thang Long - Tran Hung Dao metro line is related to the P16A apartment building.

According to records, many works on Thuy Khue street (Tay Ho ward, Hanoi) are being demolished and dismantled to hand over land for the metro C6 underground station project of urban railway line No. 2 (Nam Thang Long - Tran Hung Dao section).

According to information from the Tay Ho Ward Investment - Infrastructure Project Management Board, the total area of land acquisition and site clearance for project implementation is 5,954m2 (including residential land of households and collective areas; organizational land and traffic land).

The total number of households, individuals, and organizations with land located in the project is 47 cases (37 households, individuals; 7 organizations, 3 households in P16A collective housing).

Talking to Lao Dong on July 22, a representative of the Tay Ho Ward Investment - Infrastructure Project Management Board said that so far most cases have agreed to hand over land for the project.

There are 1 case of sending a complaint and 2 cases with opinions on resettlement.

Regarding this matter, the Tay Ho Ward Investment - Infrastructure Project Management Board has invited households to work, answer complaints, and at the same time answer people's questions related to resettlement in accordance with the law.

It is expected that in August 2026, the government will complete land recovery and site clearance for the above 3 cases.

According to representatives of the Project Management Board, the biggest obstacle currently related to P16A collective housing. There are about 59m2 of collective housing area related to 3 cases being recovered to implement the C6 underground station project.

Notably, the recovery of this area is said to affect the overall structure of the building with 29 cases living and eating.

Only recover 59m2 including the common yard area and cut a little into the collective housing project, but if it is necessary to arrange for all 29 resettlement cases, it is very difficult to implement" - said the representative of the Project Management Board.

Local authorities have proposed to the Hanoi Urban Railway Management Board to consider adjusting the site clearance plan, keeping the P16A collective house, but the Railway Management Board has not agreed.

In the immediate future, the Economic, Infrastructure and Urban Department is assigned to study and report to the Tay Ho Ward People's Committee on a plan to recover land and clear ground related to P16A collective housing.

It is known that households with land recovered from the C6 underground station project are eligible to be resettled in Nam Trung Yen urban area (Yen Hoa ward), about 7km from their old residence.

Regarding the compensation unit price, households with recovered land adjacent to Thuy Khue street will be compensated 188 million VND/m2.
