In 2024, Thanh Hoa continues to achieve high state budget revenue, among the top in the country.

On November 26, the People's Committee of Thanh Hoa province said that in 2024, the province's socio-economic situation will improve and achieve positive results in most areas.

It is estimated that by the end of 2024, 23/25 main targets approved by the Provincial People's Council will be completed and exceed the plan.

According to the first preliminary assessment data of the General Statistics Office, the growth rate of gross regional domestic product (GRDP) in 2024 of Thanh Hoa province is estimated at 11.72%, exceeding the set plan of 11%, ranking 3rd in the country. Of which: agriculture, forestry and fishery increased by 4.31%; industry - construction increased by 16.84% (industry 20.09%; construction 8.85%); services increased by 8.51%; product taxes increased by 5.07%. The scale of GRDP (at current prices) in 2024 is estimated at 318,752 billion VND, ranking 8th out of 63 provinces and cities.

Total food output is estimated at 1.56 million tons, equal to 101.9% of the plan; the value of cultivated products per hectare of cultivated land is estimated at 125 million VND/ha/year, an increase of 5 million VND over the same period; 1,578.2 hectares of low-economic-efficiency rice land has been converted to grow crops with higher economic efficiency; 6,569 hectares of land have been accumulated for large-scale, high-tech agricultural production, equal to 106.2% of the plan.

The National Target Program on New Rural Development and the One Commune One Product (OCOP) Program have received attention and direction; it is estimated that by the end of 2024, there will be 2 more districts and 17 communes meeting the New Rural Development standards; 2 districts and 26 communes meeting the Advanced New Rural Development standards; 11 communes meeting the Model New Rural Development standards; 120 OCOP products.

Industrial production increased sharply, the Index of Industrial Production (IIP) in 2024 is estimated to increase by 19.25%; Import and export activities increased sharply compared to the same period; export value is estimated at 6,293 million USD, equal to 104.9% of the plan, up 23.4%; import value is estimated at 10,042 million USD, up 20.3%.

The total number of tourists in 2024 is estimated at 15.3 million, exceeding the plan by 10.9%, up 22.5% over the same period (of which international visitors are estimated at 719 thousand, up 16.7%); total tourism revenue is estimated at VND 33,815 billion, exceeding the plan by 4.4%, up 38% over the same period.

State budget revenue is estimated at VND54,341 billion, exceeding 52.8% of the estimate, up 25.9% over the same period, the highest ever, ranking first in the North Central region and among the top 10 localities with the highest revenue in the country.

Up to now, the whole province has established 3,107 new enterprises, equal to 103.6% of the plan, up 5.7% over the same period, ranking first in the North Central provinces and 8th in the country.

Disbursement of public investment capital is always among the top in the country; site clearance exceeds the plan, 1.2 times higher than the same period; site handover is early, contributing to the completion of the 500kV line 3 Quang Trach - Pho Noi project on schedule according to the direction of the Prime Minister.

Thanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee said that some of the main targets set for 2025 are: Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP) growth rate reaches 11% or more. GRDP per capita reaches 3,750 USD or more; State budget revenue reaches 45,492 billion VND or more.
