The Management Board of Dung Quat Economic Zone and Quang Ngai Industrial Parks has just reported on the situation of salaries, bonuses and salary arrears during the 2026 Lunar New Year.
According to the report, salaries, bonuses and labor relations at 135 enterprises in the area are basically stable; especially, in 2025, no salary debts arose.
Salary "level" statistics in 2025 show a significant difference between types of enterprises such as state-owned enterprises, capital-contributing enterprises and private enterprises. In which, private enterprises and foreign-invested enterprises (FDI) recorded the highest salary, up to 163 million VND/person/month.
Conversely, some businesses with the lowest salary are commonly from 3.5 - 4 million VND/person/month, mainly concentrated in units that use a lot of unskilled labor.
Notably, the 2026 Lunar New Year bonus is expected by many businesses to be high. The highest bonus belongs to Foster Electronics Co., Ltd. (Quang Ngai) with 205.1 million VND; followed by Quang Ngai Sugar Joint Stock Company with 120 million VND.
In the state-controlled enterprise sector, the highest Lunar New Year bonus reached 56 million VND at Binh Son Petroleum Packaging and Trading Company.
In general, salaries and bonuses for the 2026 Lunar New Year recorded a recovery. However, there is still a clear difference when some businesses only give Tet bonuses from 500,000 VND to 1 million VND/person. These cases mainly fall into garment and wood processing enterprises and some small-scale units, reflecting certain difficulties in production and business activities.
Regarding labor relations, in 2025, only one collective labor dispute was recorded and successfully reconciled, without prolonged strikes.
The Management Board of Dung Quat Economic Zone and Quang Ngai Industrial Parks said that they will continue to closely monitor the situation of Tet salaries and bonuses; promptly coordinate to handle arising issues, ensure the rights of workers and maintain security and order during the Lunar New Year.
