On October 1, in Quang Tri province, Comrade Tran Cam Tu - Politburo member, Standing member of the Secretariat; Comrade Ha Thi Nga - Member of the Party Central Committee, Vice President of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, and the working delegation visited, encouraged and supported the people of Quang Tri to overcome the consequences of storm No. 10.
Mr. Tran Phong - Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Head of the Quang Tri Provincial Civil Defense Command quickly reported on the response to storm No. 10.
Storm No. 10 (Bualoi) entered the East Sea from September 26, directly affecting Quang Tri from September 28-29, causing strong winds of level 9-10, gusts 12-13, heavy rain of 200-500mm, rapid flooding, cutting off many traffic routes.
The province has urgently established a Steering Committee, mobilizing 8,577 vehicles and more than 23,000 workers to respond, evacuating more than 1,100 households with 3,500 people in 24 dangerous communes.
Initial damage with 4 dead, 8 missing (fishingermen outside the province), 15 injured.
Regarding assets: 6 houses collapsed, 3,396 houses had their roofs blown off, 18 houses were flooded, about 1,460 hectares of planted forests were damaged... The total damage is estimated at about 550 billion VND.
The province focuses on emergency relief, priority rescue, ensuring people's lives and stabilizing production.
Comrade Tran Cam Tu acknowledged the spirit of effort and proactiveness of the Party Committee, government, functional forces and people of Quang Tri in the work of preventing, responding to and overcoming floods. He emphasized that the Central Government will continue to accompany, share difficulties, and promptly support Quang Tri to soon stabilize its life and develop its socio-economy.
Mr. Le Ngoc Quang - Secretary of the Quang Tri Provincial Party Committee, on behalf of the locality, expressed his deep gratitude for the attention and encouragement of the Central Government, and affirmed that Quang Tri will strive to overcome difficulties, quickly restore production, and ensure social security for the people.

The Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front has awarded 500 million VND from the Central Relief Mobilization Committee to support Quang Tri province; the Vietnam National Industry - Energy Group awarded 5 billion VND; the Vietnam Joint Stock Commercial Bank for Investment and Development (BIDV) awarded 1 billion VND; the Vietnam Joint Stock Commercial Bank for Industry and Trade (VietinBank) awarded 1 billion VND to help Quang Tri province overcome the consequences of storm No. 10.
