Quang Tri The delegation of the Vietnam Government Special Working Committee led by Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Van Gau surveyed the Monument of the Vietnam - Laos Fighting Alliance.

On November 11, the Vietnam Government Special Working Group led by Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Van Gau - Member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Minister of National Defense, visited and surveyed the Vietnam - Laos Fighting Alliance Monument in Phin District ( Savannakhet Province, Lao People's Democratic Republic).

Also attending were Major General Doan Quang Hoa - Director of the Department of Policy - Social Affairs, General Department of Politics of the Vietnam People's Army; Major General Pham Hong Thai - Deputy Political Commissar of Military Region 2; Major General Le Van Trung - Deputy Political Commissar of Military Region 4, Head of Steering Committee 515 of Military Region 4; and representatives of functional agencies of the Ministry of National Defense and Military Region 4.

Within the framework of the working trip, the delegation visited, presented gifts, inspected and offered incense to commemorate the heroic martyrs at the Martyrs' Church of Team 584, Political Department, Quang Tri Provincial Military Command (located in Phalansay District, Savannakhet Province).

After listening to the report on the results of the task of surveying, searching and collecting the remains of Vietnamese volunteer soldiers and experts who died in Savannakhet province, Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Van Gau praised the spirit of solidarity, responsibility, and will to overcome difficulties of the officers and employees of Team 584.

The Deputy Minister emphasized that despite many difficulties in working conditions, the officers and employees of Team 584 always promote the qualities of "Uncle Ho's soldiers", overcome hardship, and complete assigned tasks well. The work of collecting martyrs' remains is a profound political and humanistic task, demonstrating the morality of "When drinking water, remember its source", "Retitude" of the Vietnamese people, while contributing to fostering the great friendship, special solidarity and comprehensive cooperation between the two countries of Vietnam and Laos.

Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Van Gau requested Team 584 to continue to promote a sense of responsibility, closely coordinate with agencies, authorities and armed forces of Laos, uphold determination, and excellently complete tasks in the 2025-2026 dry season.

On this occasion, the working delegation of the Special Task Force of the Vietnamese Government and the Head of the Military Region 4 Command presented gifts and encouraged officers and soldiers of Team 584.
