According to Hoa Binh Hydropower Company, at 6:00 a.m. on September 24, the upstream water level of Hoa Binh Lake was at 116.50 m, the flow to the lake was 1,087 m3/s, and the flow discharged downstream was 3,937 m3/s.
Pursuant to Official Dispatch No. 7158 dated September 24 of the Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development, Hoa Binh Hydropower Company closed the remaining bottom spillway at 12:00 noon on the same day.
Hoa Binh Hydropower Company informs the people and units operating downstream of Hoa Binh Hydropower Dam to proactively have plans to ensure safety for people and vehicles.
Previously, on September 22, Hoa Binh Hydropower Plant opened three floodgates at 12:00, 13:00 and 15:00. At 1:00 and 7:00 on September 23, the unit closed two floodgates under the order of the Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development.
