According to Thac Ba Hydropower Joint Stock Company, at 1:00 p.m. on September 30, the water level of Thac Ba Lake reached 57.79 m, the water flow to the lake was about 335 m3/s; the downstream water level was 22.20 m.
Due to heavy rain in the basin, to ensure safe operation of the project, Thac Ba Hydropower Joint Stock Company began to open the flood control gate through the spillway of Thac Ba Hydropower Project from 3:30 p.m. on September 30. The flow through the spillway is 270 m3/s, maintaining maximum generation of 2 generators; the downstream water level will increase by more than 2 m compared to the current time.
During the regulation process, Thac Ba Hydropower Joint Stock Company may increase or decrease the regulated flow through the project depending on the water flow into the lake.
