The Tuyen Quang - Ha Giang expressway project has a total length of 105km, with a total investment of nearly 10,000 billion VND. Of which, the section passing through Tuyen Quang (old) is 77km long, the section passing through Ha Giang (old) is 27.5km long.
In Tuyen Quang, the project started in October 2023, and the construction units are currently mobilizing human resources and equipment to speed up the progress. A long expressway across the mountain is gradually taking shape.
According to the report from the Tuyen Quang Province Traffic Construction Investment Project Management Board, the project through the old Tuyen Quang province is simultaneously implementing 6/6 packages for the construction of roads and bridges on the route. The lighting system construction package has not yet been implemented.
To date, the entire route has mobilized more than 114 construction teams, with nearly 1,058 pieces of equipment and machinery in operation. The total construction value of the project is currently at about 41.0% compared to the contract value.
The project has completed the investment of 12.5km of the first section of the route, from the Tuyen Quang - Phu Tho expressway intersection to the National Highway 37 intersection, with a scale of 4 lanes. The remaining section, from Km 12+500 to Km 77+ back, about 64.5km long, is under construction on a scale of 2 lanes.
Meanwhile, the section passing through the old Ha Giang province has completed the construction of 4 lanes, with a total investment of more than 5,000 billion VND. The site handover has now been completed, and contractors are focusing on human resources and machinery to carry out the construction. At the construction site, the units deployed "3 shifts, 4 teams" to speed up the progress.
Thefruit Stream Water Supply System Project in Ha Giang province (old) is divided into 2 phases with a total investment of over 323 billion VND. Phase 1 has completed the main items, connected to the power grid and is preparing to install pumps for testing.
Phase 2 started construction at the end of 2023, with the completed volume reaching over 133 billion VND. The accumulated disbursement by the end of July 2025 was more than VND 265 billion, reaching 93.4% of the assigned plan.
Meanwhile, the Water Supply Dam Project to create a landscape in the center of Ha Giang (old) started construction in early 2023. The total investment of the project is more than 330 billion VND.
To date, the construction volume has reached nearly 73% of the contract value; more than 218 billion VND has been disbursed, reaching 90% of the arranged capital plan.
For the dam project, the leaders of Tuyen Quang province requested the contractor to urgently implement the approved items to speed up the progress. At the same time, the river embankment will be constructed in parallel with other items. Strive to put the project into use, to celebrate the 14th National Congress of the Party.
When completed, the project will help raise and maintain the water level of the Lo River. Climate regulation, ecological environment improvement and tourism development. In particular, the traffic bridge on the dam will connect National Highway 2 with the Southern beltway.
