Planning ecotourism and Chua Chan Mountain Resorts
On March 5, the People's Committee of Dong Nai province issued a decision approving the adjustment of the overall planning for conservation, restoration, restoration and embellishment of the scenic relic of Chua Chan mountain until 2030.
According to the decision, the scope of research to adjust the relic planning is 1,749.86 hectares (including 1,746.73 hectares, the total area of protection area 1 - protection area 2 and 3.13 hectares serving the current traffic connection), located on 5 administrative units including 4 communes of Xuan Tho, Xuan Truong, Xuan Hiep, Suoi Cat and Gia Ray town in Xuan Loc district, Dong Nai province.
The scope of the relic planning adjustment is 250 hectares. Of which, the area of protection area 1 is 18.5 hectares, protection area 2 and the current traffic connection area is 231.5 hectares.

For protection area 1, including: Buu Quang pagoda, Lam Son pagoda, Linh Son pagoda, French monopoly motel, Bao Dai tea garden, Ham Hinh mat area.
For the protection area 2, there are: 3-ative leather plants, snake caves, and grottos... In which, the ecotourism, resort, and mountain resort Chua Chan has service functions to serve resort tourism, entertainment, commercial services and promote the value of the relic.
Organize functional spaces including: festival square, food service area, entertainment area (slide, rope swing, mountain climbing adventure, swing spinning, super-fast tourist boats...).
In addition, the eco-resort service area serves the goal of treating diseases and health care through combining resorts with participation in meditation and yoga programs...
Planning 3 more cable car routes to Chua Chan mountain top
According to the decision, Dong Nai also plans traffic routes connecting Chua Chan mountain, connecting tourist attractions with walking routes, electric vehicles, cable car, mountain-climbing railways, etc.
In addition to the cable car route from the foot of the mountain to Buu Quang pagoda that has been invested in and built, there is a new plan for 3 cable car routes from the foot of the Southeast mountain to the top of Chua Chan mountain (near the French government motel and Bao Dai tea garden) and 1 cable car route serving the inner area of the mountain top. These cable car points are a transportation unit serving tourists to reach the top of the mountain.
In addition, 4 more mountain climbing railway lines are planned to serve the travel needs, connecting the areas of Chua Chan mountain peak.
The group of projects for tourism, ecology, and mountain resorts Chua Chan has a total investment of about VND18,000 billion (abbreviated as project group No. 2).
In addition, the group of land acquisition and site clearance projects to serve the establishment of projects with a total investment of 30 billion VND (project group No. 1); The group of project to preserve relic works with a total investment of about 150 billion VND (project group No. 3); The group of environmental landscape protection projects with about 50 billion VND (project group No. 4) and the group of human resource training, information and promotion projects with a total investment of about 20 billion VND (project group No. 5).
The total investment is VND18,250 billion.
Investment phase, period 2025 - 2027, deploy project groups 1, 2, 3 and some initial component projects in project groups 4 and 5, period 2027 - 2030, continue to implement project groups 2, 3, 4, 5.
Investment capital from the state budget; mobilize other legal capital sources from investment of organizations and enterprises (for group No. 2).
Chua Chan Mountain (also known as Gia Lao Mountain, in Xuan Loc District, Dong Nai Province) is 837m above sea level and about 100km from Ho Chi Minh City. This is considered the "rooftop" of Dong Nai province and the second highest mountain in the Southeast (after Ba Den mountain, Tay Ninh province). In 2012, Chua Chan Mountain was ranked as a national scenic relic.
A rare phenomenon once appeared here when a giant cloud district covered the top of Chua Chan mountain on the morning of October 31, 2024.
