On April 13, information from the Border Guard of Quang Binh province said that it had just received 16 Vietnamese citizens returned by Laos.
Earlier, in the landmark area of 528 (Dan Hoa commune, Minh Hoa district), Cha Lo International Border Guard Station in collaboration with the functional forces received 16 Vietnamese citizens by the Na Phac Border Gate Police, Kham Muon Province (Laos).
According to information from Cha Lo International Border Guard Station, these citizens had previously exit through the air in the period from the beginning of 2023 to the end of 2024, to Thailand and Myanmar to find jobs.
However, due to the unexpected working conditions, low salary, expiry of stay and fear of administrative sanctions, this group of people tried to return to Vietnam through unofficial roads and were arrested by Lao authorities.
After completing the necessary procedures, you have handed over to the Vietnamese functional forces at the Cha Lo border gate area. The receiving process is conducted in accordance with the process, ensuring safety. All 16 citizens were checked in medical and stable health.
Following the direction of the Border Guard Command, the People's Committee of Quang Binh Province and the Provincial Border Guard Command, the unit has conducted verification of identity, initially identifying these citizens without criminal records and criminal records and not violating Vietnamese law.
After completing the verification steps, the Border Guard handed over 16 people to the residence and coordinated with the local authorities and police to continue monitoring and managing as prescribed.
