Official dispatch sent to the Provincial Police; People's Committees of communes and wards: Kep, Yen Dung, Canh Thuy, Bong Lai, Dong Viet, Tan Son.
Accordingly, based on Official Dispatch No. 814/DSQ-LS-CD dated October 14, 2025 of the Vietnamese Embassy in Cambodia on the coordination, verification and receipt of 14 Vietnamese citizens (including 7 citizens from Bac Ninh on the attached list) detained by Cambodian authorities in the capital Phnom Penh for online criminal and fraud activities.
Expected to be handed over to Vietnam at 10:30 a.m. on October 18, 2025 at Tinh Bien international border gate (An Giang province) - Phnom Den ( Takeo province, Cambodia).
The Chairman of the People's Committee of Bac Ninh province assigned the Provincial Police to preside over and coordinate with the People's Committees of relevant communes and wards to verify their identities, notify the citizen's families about the incident, and receive 7 cases of Bac Ninh citizens.
At the same time, direct the organization of investigation, thoroughly and strictly handle individuals and activities to attract Vietnamese citizens with the tricks of "finding a job online", "easy work, high salary" illegally leaving the country to work at "online fraud centers", "pornography casino" in Cambodia.
Bac Ninh province is the industrial capital of the North, with a huge demand for labor. The province has organized many working groups to other localities across the country to promote and attract workers.
Local youth have many opportunities to choose a good job right in their homeland.
Therefore, to avoid falling into the trap of human trafficking subjects, the police force recommends that people be vigilant, strictly comply with the provisions of the law; do not believe in the promises of "easy work, high salary" in Cambodia.
When there is a need to work abroad, it is necessary to carefully research and contact local authorities for guidance, support and compliance with legal regulations on labor export, entry and exit.
In case a citizen is lured, deceived, lured to work and is forced to work, immediately report to the nearest police agency for support to resolve the issue, to avoid falling into the situation of "losing money, getting sick".
