On October 7, speaking with a reporter from Lao Dong Newspaper, a representative of the People's Committee of Trung Ha Commune, Thanh Hoa Province, said that due to the influence of the circulation of storm No. 11 (storm Matmo), on the night of October 6 and the morning of October 7, there was heavy rain in the commune.

Heavy rain caused a landslide on the positive slope at Km22Km23 on National Highway 217 (through Tong village), causing temporary traffic disruption.

Previously, storm No. 10 caused landslides at this location. After the repair was completed, landslides continued to occur, with a length of tens of meters" - a representative of Trung Ha Commune People's Committee informed.

Currently, the authorities have mobilized human resources and machinery to the scene to fix the problem.

It is expected that the road will be reopened to traffic around noon on October 7.
