Specifically, Ms. Nguyen Thi Xuan was fined 90 million VND for trading 3,150 cosmetic units of unknown origin, including light-catching powder, contouring powder and base lock spray, with a total value of nearly 496.5 million VND. All of these cosmetics have no declared dossiers, no traceability information, and pose a potential risk to consumer health.
Meanwhile, Mr. Nguyen Van Hien (born in 1990) was fined 90 million VND for trading 9,300 food products of unknown origin, including seasoning powder, tomato sauce and cooking oil, with a total value of more than 271 million VND.
The shipment did not have a product declaration dossier, and the organization or individual responsible for the quality could not be identified, posing many risks of food safety.
The two cases were discovered at the end of January 2026, when the E-commerce and Mobile Market Management Team (Dak Lak Provincial Market Management Sub-Department) coordinated with the Provincial Traffic Police Department to inspect a tractor-trailer with license plate 60H-024. XX, pulling trailer 60RM-011. XX.
In addition to the form of fines, Dak Lak Provincial People's Committee forced the destruction of all violating cosmetics and food.
