On October 25, a leader of the People's Committee of Phu Quoc Special Zone (An Giang) said that the Border Guard in Bai Thom area and boats in Da Chong area are trying to find a 13-year-old boy suspected of being missing while diving.
According to initial information, at around 9:00 p.m. on October 22, N.M.T (13 years old, living in An Giang) and his relatives went diving. The boat was docked about 2km from shore, when the boat owner and members of the diving crew had just boarded the boat, they could not find T anywhere, so they reported to the authorities to assist in the search.
T's family said that T had just been from the mainland to a relative's house for half a month when this incident happened. The family is looking forward to finding T.
According to Xa Luc Border Guard Station, due to the incident occurring at night, along with bad weather, it was difficult to search. The Border Guard and Coast Guard are still trying to search for the child.
