On June 5, the Fire and Rescue Police Department (Gia Lai Provincial Police) said they are deploying forces and vehicles to search for a woman missing due to being swept away by water on the Se San River.
At about 2:20 pm on June 4, La O Commune Police received a report about Ms. D. T. H. M (born in 2002, temporarily residing in: Kloong village, La O commune, Gia Lai province) when taking photos with her parents, Ms. Phuong and Mr. Vui at Ferry 6, she slipped and fell into the Se San River.
The accident location is in Ferry 6 area, Bi village, La O commune, Ms. M. fell into the river while washing her hands near the riverbank. Relatives tried to rescue her but were unsuccessful.
Upon receiving the news, Ia O Commune People's Committee directed the Police and Military forces to coordinate with Ia O Border Guard Station and local people to organize the search for the victim.
The Fire and Rescue Police Department also sent divers and specialized vehicles to support the search.
The Se San River area, where Ms. M. fell into the water and went missing, has complex terrain, many deep rocky abysses, causing difficulties for functional forces in the search process.
