On July 6, information from the People's Committee of Thien Tan commune, Lang Son province said that the unit is looking for the father, mother or relative of the abandoned newborn baby boy, discovered at about 7 pm on July 5 in Lay village.
According to the announcement of the local authorities, the baby boy was born on July 3rd, according to the content written on the piece of paper left with the child. When discovered, the baby was 55 cm tall, weighed 3.5 kg, in normal health, awake, and had no injuries.
At that time, the baby was wearing a light blue shirt, a hat, socks, and full newborn clothes.
Next to the baby, there was a red plastic basket, inside containing milk, diapers, towels, two sets of newborn clothes, a thin bucket blanket and the clothes the child was wearing.
In the plastic basket, there was also a piece of paper that read: "I was born on July 3, 2026. I gave birth at 5 am, weighing 3.5 kg. Currently, I do not have enough conditions to raise me, I hope anyone who sees me will bring me back to raise me. I hope I meet a good person. I apologize to you".
After receiving the case, the People's Committee of Thien Tan commune temporarily handed over the baby to the Huu Lung Regional Medical Center for care and nurturing according to regulations.
The notice for finding relatives is publicly posted at the headquarters of Thien Tan Commune People's Committee for 7 days, from July 6 to the end of July 12.
Local authorities request parents, relatives of children or organizations and individuals with relevant information to contact the People's Committee of Thien Tan commune for guidance and resolution according to legal regulations.
After the notice period, if no relatives come to receive them, Thien Tan Commune People's Committee will carry out birth registration and subsequent procedures, ensuring the legitimate rights and interests of children.
