On June 15, the People's Committee of Nhan Trach commune (Bo Trach district, Quang Binh province) said that the authorities had found the last body of 4 people missing due to floods in Quang Binh province.
The victim was Ms. T.T.N (residing in Nhan Hai village, Nhan Trach commune), the wife in the case of the couple who went missing while traveling alone on the Dinh river on the morning of June 13.
Ms. N's body was discovered drifting ashore northeast of Con Co Island (Quang Tri Province) at 1:45 p.m. on June 14, during a patrol by Con Co Border Guard Station.
After issuing a notice to find relatives through information channels, on the morning of June 15, Ms. N's family came to identify and confirm the body.
At around 12 noon the same day, the victim's body was coordinated by the border guards, fishermen, Quang Tri Provincial Police and Le Thuy District SOS team to be brought ashore in Cua Viet sea area.
Legal procedures are being completed to hand over the body to the family for funeral arrangements.
Previously, on the afternoon of June 14, the authorities found the body of the husband, Mr. N.V.C, drifting about 150 m from the coast of Nhan Trach commune.
Also on June 14 and the morning of June 15, authorities in Minh Hoa district found the bodies of two biological sisters swept away by floodwaters while going to check frog eggs in the early morning of June 13 in Tan Hoa commune. The victims were Ms. T.T.D (born in 1969) and Ms. T.T.D (born in 1963), the body was found about 1km from the missing location.
Thus, up to now, all 4 victims in the 2 missing cases due to floods in Quang Binh have been found. Localities are coordinating with families to arrange the funeral according to local customs.
