On October 4, speaking with a reporter from Lao Dong Newspaper, Mr. Tran Duc Chung - Chairman of the People's Committee of Lung Cu Commune said that at around 8:30 am this morning, 2 more bodies were found in the soil and rocks that buried a family in Ma Lau A village.
The victims were identified as Vang Xuan H. (born in 2023) and Vang Minh H. (born in 2024). The authorities are completing the procedures to hand over to the family for burial.
"The weather is now more favorable for the search for the remaining victim. At the scene, 2 excavators and about 100 people were mobilized to serve the search for the missing victims," the leader added.
Previously, as Lao Dong reported, at around 6:30 a.m. on September 30, a landslide occurred in Ma Lau A village (Lung Cu). At that time, mud and dirt followed the water, causing flash floods to bury a family. As a result, 4 people are missing.
The victims include: Anh Vang Cha S. (born in 1982), Mrs. Hau Thi D. (born in 1980); 2 grandchildren Vang Xuan H. (born in 2023), Vang Minh H. (born in 2024).
After the natural disaster, the People's Committee of Lung Cu commune directed forces to go to the scene to carry out rescue work. At the same time, support the movement of people and property out of unsafe areas.
On October 2, the body of the first victim found was Ms. Hau Thi D. (born in 1980).
