On the morning of May 19, according to information from the Free Rescue Team 116, at around 2:00 a.m. the same day, the team found the body of C (born in 2013) swept away and missing in the Red River in Minh Tan Commune (Kien Xuong District, Thai Binh Province) on the morning of May 17.
Previously, at around 7:00 a.m. yesterday (May 18), the 116 Free Rescue Team also successfully searched for the body of Ms. L (born in 1990, residing in Tan Ap 1 village (Minh Tan commune, Kien Xuong district, Thai Binh province), the biological mother of C.


The strong winds, big waves, and rising river water caused many difficulties and hardships in organizing the search for the whereabouts of the unfortunate mother and child. Members of the 116 Free Rescue Team had to search all night, all day from the time of the tragic incident until this morning (May 19).
After the victims' bodies were found, the rescue team brought the bodies to shore, coordinated with local authorities and families to organize funeral arrangements for the victims.

Previously, on the morning of May 17, Ms. L took her 3 children to the bank of the Red River in Minh Tan commune to fish. While the mother was busy catching fish and the three children were playing together, unfortunately C slipped and fell into the river.
Seeing that, Ms. L ran back to the riverbank to save her child, but both mother and child were swept away by the water, the other two children ran back to cry for help from everyone.
Receiving information about the incident from the Minh Tan Commune Police, the 116 Free Rescue Team urgently organized forces and vehicles to go to the scene to support the search for Ms. L and her child.
