The victim was Mr. T.L.H (born in 1995, residing in Trieu Tan commune, Trieu Phong district, Quang Tri province). The captain and crew of fishing boat BTh 99474 TS found Mr. H's body at noon on May 17 in the sea area about 6 nautical miles from La Gi port. At 4:40 p.m. the same day, the body was taken to Phan Thiet fishing port to be handed over to the family and the family did not request an autopsy.
The incident occurred at dawn 15.5 when the BTH 99474 TS fishing vessel was dropping a fishing net in the sea area about 6 nautical miles from the fishing port, there was a canoe that did not run to and was swept into the propeller. At this time, Mr. H jumped into the sea to remove the net from the propeller when the wave was swept and missing.
