On the afternoon of April 2, information from the Steering Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention, Control and Search and Rescue of Binh Thuan province said that the fishing boat of Binh Dinh fishermen operating at sea had rescued 2 workers on the sunken fishing boat.
Thus, all 22 crew members on the sunken fishing boat BTh 97877 TS were rescued safely.

As Lao Dong reported, on the evening of April 1, fishing boat BTh 97877 TS, with a capacity of 570 CV, 23m long, fishing logistics, captained by Mr. M.V.H (born in 1975, residing in Phu Quy district).
When the ship was operating in the sea area about 27 nautical miles south of Phu Quy Island, the water broke and it sank. The weather in the above sea area has Northeast winds of level 6, gusting to level 7, waves from 3 - 3.5 meters high.

The Phu Quy Port Border Guard Station used CN ship BP 11.19.01 and officers and soldiers to the scene and rescued 20 workers.
At 1:00 p.m. on April 2, the fishing boat of Binh Dinh fishermen while operating at sea discovered and rescued the remaining 2 workers, about 20 nautical miles southwest of the location of the fishing boat BTh 97877 TS in distress.
Currently, the health of workers is stable. It is expected that on the morning of April 3, the fishing boat of Binh Dinh will bring the two workers to Phu Quy Island.
