On the evening of March 18, the Steering Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention and Search and Rescue of Binh Thuan province said that the bodies of fishermen who fell into the sea and went missing had been found. The victim was Mr. D.D (born in 1986, residing in Kien Giang province), a crew member on fishing boat KG 1061 TS.
At noon of the same day, fishing boat BTh 81950 TS, fishing for fishermen in Phu Quy island district, while fishing discovered the body of Mr. D. The location where Mr. D was found was about 50m from where he fell into the sea and went missing. Mr. D's body was taken to Phu Quy port.
The authorities conducted an autopsy. The victim's body was then taken to the Phu Quy District Military Medical Center to wait for handover to relatives.
As Lao Dong reported, the fishing boat has the registration number KG 1061 TS, with a capacity of 755 CV, operating a trawler net, with 15 workers. On the afternoon of March 17, when the boat was anchored to avoid the wind in the sea area about 1.5 nautical miles southwest of Phu Quy Island, the D lao Cai went missing.
