Body of male student found in Quang Tri drowning in Hieu River

    Quang Tri - While swimming in a saltwater dam on the Hieu River, a male student drowned, leading to his death.

    At noon on June 16, the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Department (Quang Tri Provincial Police) said that after a period of searching, the body of a male student missing while swimming in the dam preventing salinity in the Hieu River was discovered.

    The location where the victim's body was found was about 500m from the accident site. Currently, the authorities are carrying out legal procedures to hand over the victim's body to the family for burial.

    Previously, as reported, at around 2:30 p.m. on June 15, M.T.G.B and a group of friends went to the mangrove dam in Dong Thanh ward (Dong Ha city, Quang Tri province) to swim.

    M.T.G.B was unfortunately swept away by the water, and his group of friends tried to rescue him but failed.

    It is known that there have been many drowning incidents at this location.
