On the evening of June 13, the People's Committee of Vinh Hung commune (Phu Loc district, Hue city) said that a incident had just occurred in the area where two brothers drowned while fishing.
According to initial information, at around 12:30 p.m. the same day, Mr. N.V.A (24 years old) and his younger brother N.V.V (20 years old, both residing in Vinh Hung commune) went fishing in the area near their home.
At around 3:00 p.m. the same day, the family had not seen the two brothers return, and discovered a pair of sandals near the area where the two victims cast a net, so they reported to the local authorities to assist in the search.
After about 1 hour of searching, the authorities and local people found the bodies of the two victims and handed them over to their families for funeral arrangements.
According to the People's Committee of Vinh Hung commune, after the incident, the local authorities visited, encouraged, and shared the great loss. At the same time, the locality also called on benefactors to support and assist the family.
It is forecasted that in the coming hours, Hue will continue to have heavy rain, the risk of flash floods and landslides in the above localities is very high. The authorities have prepared a plan to be ready to respond and evacuate people from high-risk areas to ensure the safety of life and property.
Currently, people are advised to limit travel through deeply flooded areas and continue to monitor weather warnings to proactively take preventive measures and respond to prolonged floods.
