Previously, at 7:45 p.m. on July 26, the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Department received a report that someone was missing in the Hon Gai beach area. Assessing that the victim was most likely drowning in the beach area, the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Department quickly dispatched 1 fire truck, 2 boats and 15 officers and soldiers to search that night.
According to the victim's family, Mr. T.D.H (born in 1988, residing in Ha Lam ward, Quang Ninh province) and his son went swimming at Hon Gai beach, Ha Long ward on the afternoon of July 26.

The Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Department recommends that people raise awareness of preventing drowning, not swimming in areas that are not safe and promptly notify authorities when detecting people in distress for quick support.
