Provincial road 530B was invested and built in 2011, which is a traffic route connecting many mountainous communes of Thanh Hoa province. After many years of operation, many sections on the route have deteriorated, affecting people's travel.
According to the reporter of Lao Dong Newspaper, at many locations on provincial road 530B, the road surface is peeling off, with dense potholes and craters appearing. Meanwhile, the road surface is quite narrow, causing vehicles, especially cars, to have many difficulties avoiding each other.

Some road sections are damaged for a long time, the road surface is rough. On rainy days, many locations are stagnant and muddy; on sunny days, dust spreads, affecting the lives of households living along the route.
According to local people, the degradation situation has been going on for many years but has not been handled synchronously. Traveling on the route, especially in the rainy season, poses a potential risk of traffic unsafety.
In addition to the damaged road surface, in the rainy season, some areas on the route often experience positive and negative taluy landslides. At times, soil and rocks overflow onto the road surface, causing traffic jams.

Talking to a reporter of Lao Dong Newspaper, a representative of the leaders of Van Phu Commune People's Committee said that Provincial Road 530B has a total length of about 40km, running through many mountainous communes such as Linh Son, Tan Phuc, Van Phu and Trung Ha.
“The section passing through Van Phu commune is about 25km long. Currently, the road is damaged and degraded, greatly affecting people's lives and travel. The road was originally narrow, but now many potholes and craters have appeared, making traffic even more difficult. Some locations on the route have also experienced serious landslides” - representative of Van Phu Commune People's Committee said.
Also according to this representative, every year, the provincial transportation career funding allocated to the route is only enough for maintenance and temporary repair of more than 1km of road, which cannot be synchronously upgraded throughout the route. Therefore, many locations after being repaired for a period of time continue to be damaged, leading to patchwork situations.
Faced with the above situation, people and local authorities have repeatedly petitioned at meetings and voter contacts, requesting functional sectors to soon have a plan to upgrade and expand provincial road 530B.
The locality hopes that the road will be invested synchronously soon, both ensuring traffic safety and creating favorable conditions for people to travel, trade and develop the economy" - a representative of Van Phu Commune People's Committee informed.
