On July 30, at a regular press conference, Deputy Director of the Department of Home Affairs of Quang Tri province Le Quang Vinh said that after the two-level government came into operation from July 1, the whole province has focused on synchronously implementing policies to streamline the payroll and reorganize the apparatus.
To date, 2,348 cases have been resolved in accordance with regulations, including 1,863 cadres, civil servants, public employees and 485 non-professional workers.
Currently, the Department is continuing to assess the records for 679 cases preparing for retirement in August 2025. At the same time, the rearrangement of commune-level personnel is carried out synchronously, ensuring smooth and uninterrupted operations.
Regarding difficulties, the Department of Home Affairs pointed out a number of shortcomings such as lack of guidance on authority, functions, job positions at the commune level and personnel capacity gaps between regions. The province is actively coordinating with the Ministry of Home Affairs to issue temporary regulations to resolve the issue.
In the coming time, Quang Tri will continue to review the payroll, increase vocational training for grassroots staff and propose adjusting no longer suitable regulations to stabilize the organizational apparatus and improve the quality of service to the people.
