Ms. L.T.N (Ea Toh commune, Krong Nang district) said: "In the past few days, from noon to 3 p.m., my family has been constantly hearing firecrackers exploding in the house."
According to Ms. N, out of curiosity and wanting to explore, some students in the area took the risk of making fireworks at home to play with. Some of them suffered minor injuries, fortunately not life-threatening.

According to Lieutenant Colonel Tran Quang Vinh - Head of Krong Nang District Police, on December 15, there was an incident in which 3 students were injured while making firecrackers. After learning how to make firecrackers on social media, the students bought matches to make the firecrackers but unfortunately they exploded.
"In the past, the district police have regularly informed people about the harmful effects and consequences of making fireworks. However, in reality, there are still unfortunate and heartbreaking incidents due to making fireworks. This issue requires strong cooperation from families to educate and deter children," said Lieutenant Colonel Vinh.
Tighten control
In fact, the situation of illegal storage, trading, transportation and use of weapons, explosives, support tools and fireworks in Dak Lak province is still complicated.
According to statistics from the Dak Lak Provincial People's Committee, from May 19, 2023 to November 30, 2024, the province discovered 98 cases and 158 violators related to weapons, explosives, support tools and fireworks. As a result, 11 people died and 12 people were injured.

According to Lieutenant Colonel Tran Quang Vinh - Head of Krong Nang District Police, propaganda work on the harmful effects of making fireworks is an important and regular task of the unit.
The commune police sent a document to schools in the area asking students and their families to pledge not to manufacture or use illegal fireworks or explosives.
Faced with the above situation, Chairman of Dak Lak Provincial People's Committee - Pham Ngoc Nghi has requested relevant units to strengthen the management of weapons, explosives and fireworks for officials, civil servants, students and people.
For key areas, the authorities need to develop solutions to combat and strictly handle violations. At the same time, mobilize the entire population to hand over and thoroughly collect weapons, explosives, support tools and fireworks still floating in society.
