According to the plan, the authorities will organize 10 programs and activities to celebrate the establishment of the new Lam Dong province. Including the groundbreaking ceremony for the Bao Loc - Lien Khuong Expressway Construction Investment Project (Bao Loc - Lien Khuong Expressway) scheduled to take place on the morning of June 29 at the project intersection with National Highway 27, in the area of N'Thol Ha commune, Duc Trong district, Lam Dong.
It is known that Bao Loc - Lien Khuong Expressway is a component of the Dau Giay - Lien Khuong Expressway connecting Lam Dong province with Ho Chi Minh City and the Southeast region.
The Bao Loc - Lien Khuong Expressway has a total length of 73.62km. The starting point is in Loc Phat ward, Bao Loc city (Lam Dong), the end point connects to Lien Khuong - Prenn expressway in Hiep Thanh commune, Duc Trong district (Lam Dong).
The Bao Loc - Lien Khuong Expressway has a total investment of nearly VND18,000 billion, expected to be put into use in 2027.
The winning investors include: Joint venture of T&T Transport Infrastructure Development Investment Company Limited, Phuong Trang Group Investment Joint Stock Company (Futa Group), Phuong Thanh Investment and Construction Joint Stock Company (T&T Transport Infrastructure Joint Stock Company - Futa Group - Phuong Thanh).
According to the policy of reorganizing and reorganizing administrative units at all levels and building a model of organizing local government at both levels, Dak Nong, Binh Thuan and Lam Dong will merge into a new province called Lam Dong.
The new Lam Dong province was formed based on the arrangement of the entire natural area and population of Dak Nong, Binh Thuan and Lam Dong provinces.
After the merger, the new Lam Dong province has a natural area of 24,233.07km2, the largest in Vietnam; with a population of more than 3.8 million people.
After the arrangement, Lam Dong province will have 124 administrative units at the commune, ward and special zone levels.
