The project is about 5 km long, from Km73+500 to Km78+500, National Highway 6 passing through the areas of Thong Nhat and Hoa Binh wards, Phu Tho province.
The project has a total investment of nearly 474 billion VND, managed by the Project Management Board, Ministry of Construction (formerly under the Ministry of Transport).
According to the design, the route meets the standard of a level III delta road, with a cross-section of 20.5 m with 4 lanes for motorized vehicles and 2 mixed lanes.

On March 17, records of Lao Dong Newspaper reporters showed that after completion, the road surface was smoothly paved with asphalt, and the system of signs, paint markings, and medians were installed synchronously.
In addition, vehicles circulating on the route are quite bustling. Expanding the scale helps reduce traffic pressure, limit congestion, especially during peak hours - which was a "bottleneck" on the route before.

Mr. Nguyen Van Hung (resident of Hoa Binh ward) said that in the past, when passing through this area, congestion often occurred, especially during rush hour.
Since the road was widened, vehicles have traveled much more smoothly, and travel time has been significantly shortened," Mr. Hung said.
Meanwhile, Ms. Bui Thi Lan (Thong Nhat ward) shared that the new road is not only convenient for travel but also helps the trading and trade of people on both sides of the route to improve significantly.
The number of vehicles has increased, and business is also more favorable than before," Ms. Lan said.

As a driver regularly traveling on National Highway 6, Mr. Tran Van Duc said that the completion of the bypass section helps the journey through this area to be more stable.
According to Mr. Duc, in the past, local congestion often occurred here, especially during rush hours. Now the road is wide, clear lanes, so drivers are less stressed, and transportation time is also shortened.
Not only improving traffic flow, the road also contributes to changing the appearance of the area, with clear space and synchronously upgraded infrastructure.

The project started in March 2023, and had to adjust the progress due to some problems in the implementation process. To date, the main items have been completed and are expected to be handed over and put into operation soon.
Talking to Lao Dong Newspaper, Mr. Vu Trong Huan - Project Director said that so far the project has been completed, units of the Ministry of Construction are conducting acceptance, and it is expected to complete handover procedures in April 2025.
The commissioning of the bypass is expected to strengthen the connection between Hanoi and the Northwest provinces, and at the same time create motivation to promote socio-economic development in the region.
