On March 16, at the Government Headquarters, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh chaired meetings of the Standing Committee of the Government to give opinions on a number of important contents to continue removing difficulties, obstacles, issues, and prolonged projects.
This is to unlock, liberate, mobilize and effectively use resources, promote development drivers, contribute to rapid and sustainable development, achieve the goal of economic growth of 10% or more, stabilize the macroeconomy, control inflation, and ensure major balances of the economy in the context of many difficulties and challenges.
The Standing Committee of the Government has given opinions on the situation and results of handling projects and businesses that are behind schedule and inefficient in the industry and trade sector to prepare reports to competent authorities; build and complete a Project to study and comprehensively assess issues promoting socio-economic development with special economic zones to prepare reports to competent authorities.
The Standing Committee of the Government also gave opinions on the preparation of infrastructure and technical support projects for high-quality, low-emission rice in the Mekong Delta region using IBRD loans from the World Bank; draft Decree detailing the handling of obstacles for BOT transport projects; definitively resolving outstanding medical examination and treatment costs of health insurance from before 2025; reviewing the situation of issuing documents detailing and guiding the implementation of laws and resolutions that have taken effect; and some other contents.

Giving opinions to continue to improve the Project on researching and comprehensively assessing issues promoting socio-economic development with Van Don, Van Phong and Phu Quoc special economic zones to prepare reports to competent authorities, the Prime Minister requested to closely follow the conclusions and directions of the Politburo and ministries and sectors according to their functions, tasks, and powers to propose pilot mechanisms and policies that are specific, breakthrough, and leverage, and fulcrum.
The implementation ensures focus and key points, including general policies and separate policies suitable for each special economic zone, so that special economic zones can maximize their differentiated potential, outstanding opportunities, competitive advantages, and become development drivers of localities, regions and the whole country.
Regarding the situation and results of handling projects and businesses that are behind schedule and inefficient in the industry and trade sector, the Prime Minister directed specific tasks, solutions and deadlines for completion for each ministry, agency, and related enterprise according to their functions, tasks, and powers.
The Prime Minister requested to complete and completely handle the remaining projects based on the tools and mechanisms that have been permitted by competent authorities, if problems arise, continue to report and propose, promote the highest spirit of daring to think, daring to do, daring to take responsibility for the common good, especially the head.
