On May 29, Vietnam Railways Corporation launched a modern, multi-functional command carriage on train QT3/4 (Hanoi - Thai Nguyen), marking a new step in applying technology and innovating transport models.
The product is implemented to realize Resolution 57/NQ-TW on developing science and technology, innovation and national digital transformation, towards improving service quality and diversifying utilities to serve passengers.

The command carriage is modernly designed, integrating many functions, both serving passengers and being a working space, connecting and operating right on the journey. The highlight is the online connection system that allows organizing meetings, directing, and handling work anytime, anywhere. This is also the first time the Railway Corporation has organized an expanded meeting of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee and Member Council right on the train.
In terms of design, the interior of the carriage is inspired by the Da Lat - Trai Mat chained railway line, with a chained meeting table to optimize space. The meeting room is fully equipped with modern equipment, serving about 20 people, with a central and auxiliary screen system to ensure synchronous and intuitive information transmission.

Notably, the carriage uses new generation 5G connection technology, helping to maintain stable communication throughout the route, including mountainous, remote and isolated areas - places that previously often faced signal limitations.
In emergency situations such as natural disasters, incidents or security, carriages can become mobile "front guard stations", contributing to shortening handling time, improving operational efficiency and linking direction work with the actual situation.
Along with that, the railway industry also tested the KettyBot Pro service robot on VIP carriage A34. The robot is integrated with artificial intelligence, capable of automatically avoiding obstacles, moving flexibly in narrow spaces, assisting in picking up passengers, guiding, introducing services and serving food to tables.
According to a representative of Vietnam Railways Corporation, bringing new technology applications into operation not only enhances passenger experience but also demonstrates the determination to digitally transform and build a modern and professional train image.
After the train launched on May 29, 2026, the command car and a combination of service cars will be put into commercial operation on Vietnamese railway lines.
The QT3/4 train line Hanoi - Thai Nguyen is considered an important test step in the modern transport organization thinking of Vietnam Railways Corporation with the "Transport - Operation - Resort - Technology" combined model.
