Ho Chi Minh City leaders request maximum mobilization of human resources and equipment to speed up Xuyen Tam canal
On the morning of November 18, the Ho Chi Minh City Urban Infrastructure Construction Investment Project Management Board (UICI) held a groundbreaking ceremony for the XL-01 and XL-02 packages, the last two packages of the Xuyen Tam Canal dredging, environmental improvement and infrastructure construction project.
The XL-01 package has a range from Nhieu Loc - Thi Nghe canal to Bui Dinh Tuy bridge, including Cau Son canal, about 2.94 km long. Package XL-02 continues from Bui Dinh Tuy Bridge to Luong Ngoc Quyen Street, including Binh Loi and Binh Trieu Canals. HCMC proactively sources Tet goods, stabilizes market prices

According to the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Industry and Trade, goods participating in the 2025 Market Stabilization Program - Binh Ngo 2026 include essential consumer goods, cosmetic goods and 12 important food - food groups such as rice, sugar, cooking oil, animal meat, poultry, poultry eggs, processed foods, vegetables, seafood, spices, milk and drinking water.
Units in the city will also coordinate to implement many incentive programs for workers, helping workers reduce shopping costs, especially support packages when buying Tet gifts for their families. Two wards in the Vung Tau area previously have new Party Committee Secretaries
On November 18, Vung Tau Ward (HCMC) held a ceremony to announce the decision of the HCMC Party Committee on personnel work. Thereby, Mr. Vo Van Dung (born in 1974) officially took up the assignment of the Vung Tau Ward Party Committee, holding the position of Ward Party Committee Secretary.

Decoding the reason why Ben Thanh - Tham Luong Metro mobilizes more than VND 4,156 billion
The Ho Chi Minh City Urban Railway Management Board (MAUR) has just sent a report to the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee and the Department of Construction to monitor and evaluate the adjustment of Metro No. 2 project (Ben Thanh - Tham Luong).

Metro Line 2 was first approved by the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee in October 2010 with a total investment of more than VND 26,116 billion (equivalent to USD 1.374 billion at that time).
By November 2019, the project was adjusted to nearly VND47,891 billion (about 2.093 billion USD at that time), mainly using ODA loans from the Asian Development Bank (ADB), the German Construction Bank (KfW) and the European Investment Bank (EIB). See more...
"5 star" public toilet in the center of Ho Chi Minh City deteriorated after 2 years of operation
Since 2023, Ho Chi Minh City has put into operation 5-star public toilets in the central area, serving free of charge to residents and tourists. However, after only two years of operation, the quality of this project has begun to deteriorate seriously.
Recorded on November 17 at a public toilet "5 stars" on Hai Ba Trung Street (formerly District 1) showed common damage such as: door pressing button, bridge tanks, spray pipes were not working; the entrance and exit door could not be operated; the power socket and hand-washing soap boxes were damaged; even the toilet corrugated iron panel fell out.
