HCMC clears 1,822 households to widen gateway to 60 m, 10 - 12 lanes
The Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee has just approved two component projects on compensation, support and resettlement under the project to upgrade National Highway 1 - a vital traffic route connecting the city with the Western provinces.

Component project 1: implemented in Binh Tan district (formerly), now Tan Tao and An Lac wards, with a total capital of nearly 1,068 billion VND. The entire route has 101 households whose land has been reclaimed, of which 61 households have been cleared.
Component project 2: implemented in Binh Chanh district (formerly) - now in Tan Nhut commune and Binh Chanh commune, with a total capital of nearly VND 8,543 billion. In this area, about 2,140 households had their land reclaimed, of which 1,761 households were cleared.
The total cost of compensation, support and resettlement for the two component projects is up to VND9,611 billion, accounting for more than half of the total estimated investment of VND16,285 billion for the entire project. See more...
HCMC will extend Can Gio Metro line to Ben Thanh Station, some sections underground to Tan Thuan
The Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee supports the proposal of Vinspeed High-speed Railway Investment and Development Joint Stock Company (under Vingroup) to adjust the starting point of the Can Gio Metro line from Tan Thuan Station to Ben Thanh Station.
The adjustment aims to increase exploitation efficiency, expand service coverage and better connect the economic - administrative center with residential areas and commercial centers. See more...
Land reclamation of 165 cases to build 12.5km of road in Ho Chi Minh City
The Thu Bien - Dat Cuoc road site clearance project has a capital plan for 2025 of 549.536 billion VND. The project has a route length of 12.5km, the expected land area to be reclaimed is about 27.8 hectares.

When the project was implemented, it affected 165 cases, including individuals and organizations in Thuong Tan commune and Tan Uyen ward, Ho Chi Minh City.
According to the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee, the issuance of a notice of land recovery and investigation, survey, measurement, and counting of land have been completed. The unit price for land compensation for affected cases has also been approved. See more...
Ho Chi Minh City Traffic Police mobilized to suck nearly 2 kg of nails on National Highway 1
Through patrolling and grasping the situation, the Traffic Police Team of An Suong discovered that on the mixed lane of National Highway 1 (now Do Muoi Street), from Binh Phuoc Bridge to Vuon Lai, many sharp objects and steel nails reappeared. This situation poses a potential risk to traffic safety, traffic accidents and property damage for traffic participants.
In the face of the above situation, on October 28 and October 29, the An Suong Traffic Police team urgently coordinated with local authorities and volunteer nail suction teams to organize the collection.

Educational institutions in Ho Chi Minh City contribute opinions on regulations on extra teaching and learning before October 31
On October 29, the Department of Education and Training (DET) of Ho Chi Minh City announced a draft decision to issue regulations on extra teaching and learning in Ho Chi Minh City to collect opinions and communication.
This is the 4th draft of the regulation, aiming to build a legal corridor for managing extra teaching and learning activities in the city more and more effectively.
The consultation will be completed before October 31.
The draft clearly stipulates the responsibilities of the People's Committees at the commune/ward level, educational management agencies and relevant agencies, organizations and individuals in implementing regulations on extra teaching and learning. See more...
