Expanding National Highway 13
Ho Chi Minh City is urgently completing the feasibility study report for the National Highway 13 expansion project, the section from Binh Trieu Bridge to Vinh Binh Bridge (5.9 km long).
The project is expected to be approved at the end of 2025, started in 2026 and completed in 2028.

The route will be expanded from the existing 19 - 27 m to 60 m, the highlight is the 3.2 km long, 4-lane wide overpass, the maximum design speed is 80 km/h, extending from the Binh Loi bridge intersection to Binh Phuoc bridge.
Below are two parallel routes, each side has 3 lanes, speed 60 km/h. In addition, the project also built two underpasses at the Binh Loi and Binh Phuoc intersections to reduce conflicts at intersections.
The total investment of the project is more than 20,900 billion VND, of which compensation and resettlement costs account for nearly 14,619 billion VND from the city budget; the construction and installation part is about 6,281 billion VND under the BOT form.
Ho Chi Minh City Ring Road 2
The two sections of Ring Road 2 from Phu Huu Bridge to Vo Nguyen Giap (3.5 km) and from Vo Nguyen Giap to Pham Van Dong (2.8 km) are implementing infrastructure relocation and blasting since April 2025.
The entire route is cleared, 67 m wide. In the immediate future, the city will build parallel roads on both sides, with 3 lanes on each side, and the vacant land will be reserved for future expansion.

The total capital of the project is more than 13,800 billion VND, of which site clearance accounts for 8,600 billion VND.
The Ho Chi Minh City Traffic Construction Investment Project Management Board said that the project will start construction in October 2025 and be completed on April 30, 2027.
When put into operation, these sections will help connect Cat Lai, Phu Huu, Truong Tho port clusters, reduce inner-city congestion and expand development space to the East.
Ho Chi Minh City - Long Thanh Expressway
The Ho Chi Minh City Traffic Construction Investment Project Management Board said it will start expanding the access road from An Phu intersection to Ring Road 2 in October 2025.
The project is 3.2 km long, with a total investment of more than VND915 billion from the city budget, expanded from 4 to 8 lanes, with a road surface width of 36 m. The bridges on the route such as Muong Kenh Bridge and Do Xuan Hop overpass have also been expanded to 37 m.

The project is expected to be completed in 2027, synchronized with major projects such as the expansion of Ho Chi Minh City - Long Thanh Expressway, An Phu intersection, My Thuy intersection, thereby reducing pressure on the East and connecting directly to Long Thanh International Airport.

The route starts from the Tram 2 intersection ( Xa Hanoi Highway) to the Go Cong intersection (Ring Road 3 - Nguyen Xien intersection) with a cross-section of 107 to 120 m. In the first phase, the city will build two parallel routes, a total of 6 lanes (each side has 3 lanes).

Go Cong intersection is designed as a 4-storey intersection, combined with a roundabout, N1 - N4 branches (each branch has 2 lanes).
The project also builds a 4-lane overpass on Ring Road 3, along with many overpass works: at the Le Van Viet - D1 intersection (6 lanes), Go Cong canal overpass (6 lanes) and Trau Trau canal overpass (7 lanes).
